Auckland Castle is one of the best-preserved bishops' palaces in the whole of Europe and is at the centre of The Auckland Project.
The Castle recently reopened after undergoing major conservation work, which has transformed its state rooms to their original Georgian Gothic splendour, as designed by the renowned English architect James Wyatt.
As part of the conservation project, UFO were contracted by lighting designers Sutton Vane Associates to design, manufacture and supply lighting systems to illuminate the many paintings which adprn the castle's walls.
UFO's Caravaggio lighting system was specified to illuminate these pieces and bathes them in a natural light to bring out their exquisite beauty.
